Winter Fun-draiser Campaign Kickoff!

Our fifth annual Tailwind for Tools winter fundraiser is here! We’ve really come to like launching on Halloween and ending around Valentine’s day ❤

Last year was incredibly successful – we raised over $12,500!

Your generosity helped us sponsor more youth rides,  donate hundreds of bikes, inaugurate even more youth programming, and continue serving the Howard area community in Rogers Park.

2020 marks 14 years since The Recyclery was born in an Evanston basement. Our goal is $14,000 – in honor of our past 14 years!

Please consider financially supporting The Recyclery’s educational programs this holiday season. Your gifts go a long way in helping The Recyclery serve our community’s cyclists. Our fundraising finale and Open House will be Valentine’s Day 2020 weekend.

Social Friday: Group Ride to Town Hall with Elizabeth Warren (D)

It will be a FUN-AND-NOT-TOO-LONG bike ride & opportunity to get to know one of the many candidates for Democratic Party’s nomination for the 2020 election – Elizabeth Warren at Chicago Town Hall with Elizabeth Warren.

Everyone is welcome to join the ride or join us there! Please RSVP here so we have an approximate head count! Will be leaving the shop at 4 pm sharp!

We will leave the shop at 4 pm and ride to Auditorium Theater downtown to make it on time for a 6:15 pm start.

Note, this does not demonstrate our political support to any particular candidate. This is a purely an educational field trip!

Say Hi to Our New Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator Laura

The next time you’re in the shop, you may see a new lovely face around. It’s Laura /ˈlɑu̯rɑ/, our new volunteer and outreach coordinator.

Laura is a person who is driven to learn, motivated to teach, and meticulous in every project she take on. She is excited to join The Recyclery Collective because we share the same vibrant neighborhood, and are creating a wonderful space for collective action and community service. She is excited to meet all of us and start leading extraordinary collaborations with organizations and individuals alike.

Come say hi!
